Item was missing parts in the photos but not mentioned in description. Am I entitled to return?
I bought a used item that was photographed as normal. The description described nothing of the condition.
Now I have received it, it is clear there are parts missing. These missing parts were visibly missing in the main shot of the photo but it wasn't by any means highlighted and I didn't realise at the time.
Am I right in saying the seller didn't make these missing parts clear whatsoever and I am entitled to return it? They did technically shows its condition in a photo.

Essential parts needed to make the item ‘fully functional and operates as intended’ must be mentioned in the Description if missing.
And, if listed as ‘New’, everything is expected to be included.

·3 years agoThe time to notice is before. Did the seller mention good for parts or for a restoration anywhere in the listing. If not, open an item not described case. This should help the seller learn to describe an item when stuff is missing. In the future, study the photos carefully. I do not bid unless I am on my desktop and can see the photos nice and big.

·3 years agoShould the seller have pointed out the missing components? Yes.
Should you have studied every detail of the listing before purchasing? Yes.
At this point I'd say both of you failed to do your due diligence and it cancels out.
The only remaining question is did the seller's price reflect the missing components? If it did I'd let it go and avoid buying from the seller in the future. If not open an INAD claim.

·3 years agoIf the parts you claim are missing wasn't described or mentioned in the description or shown in the main photo I don't think they were part of the listing. What is the item number?
I sold a cb noise toy one time and the picture showed the item on my workbench and someone asked me if my soldering iron in the background was included.
I've seen buyers that expect the crib that was used to display crib sheets for sell when it was only the sheets they were selling.
