Is there a glitch going on with returns?

I've denied 2 remorse-based returns as I do not accept returns on some listings.

Both buyers claimed they did not select "just didn't like it" and showed me screenshots where they picked "arrived damaged" and the other "not as described".

Although I have a feeling one is lying because they stated the item was missing a button which could not happen during shipping due to the way it's designed and could not provide any photos.

This happened to me last fall as well.

Although you don't accept returns on some listings and the buyers claim they selected the other button (most likely a total lie), I think you'll dodge a lot of hassles by going ahead and refunding them AFTER receiving the item back.

Then report and block them so they can't pull this kind of stunt on you again.

Hopefully, when eBay gets their heads out of the money cloud, they will come up with some kind of common-sense solution to the increasing rise in scams... perhaps some kind of anti-scammer insurance program for a small fee that a lot of us can opt into on special listings, so that we can resume listing and selling higher-value items again? Just a common-sense idea I've mentioned quite a few times in the past. I'd certainly use it.

Something seems fishy here. Why would someone go out of their way to screenshot that page before submitting it? I've literally never heard of anyone doing that. That's a red flag in and of itself.

I've had a buyer claim that part of a board game completely vanished from the box, so there are definitely some crazy buyers out there. If they cannot provide photos then they are most likely full of horse doodoo (I'm not allowed to use the other word here).
