I have a customer 4 months ago bought then claimed through paypal he did not get it the address was
A guy made a purchase a while back and after w months says he never got it but it shows it was picked up...after researching the address below I found it is a 3rd party shipper and ebay will not cover me so the guy knew this and went through paypal and said he didn't pick it up from usps like tracking says but I'm sure he's scamming because he immediately told me to prove it show him a signature...well long story short I filed a complaint with usps bc it shows delivered I could not file a claim...I asked if they could show me a signature of who signed and picked it up they never have got back with me and have closed my case 2 times I keep reopening them trying to get them to send the signature so I can show proof...until I do I'm out of 133 dollars and it shows it can take anywhere from 2-8 weeks for them to decide which wins the dispute if I lose I also have to pay a 30 dollar fine...just wanted to warn people to be careful shipping to people with 3rd shipper addresses and the only way you can know is to check every address by Google ng the address of your buyer...it really sucks! Idk why ebay can't just stop anyone using these addresses from shipping through the address bc it's obvious how many people are complaining about this one place...it's a loop hole the international buyers are using to get free stuff every once in a while and they don't do it to everyone just the more expensive buys they make...that way they look legit...it is terrible that we have this to worry about for what we pay in fees and subscriptions for stores and shipping they should stop these things from happening to us if they know it's a problem....I guess since it doesn't cost them 133 dollars they don't care...

If you have tracking showing delivery to that address then respond to the claim.
IF you lose you need to appeal the decision on ebay as ebay does cover item not received cases for payment disputes according to their policy.

·3 years agoIf it was 4 months ago and he just filed a claim...that is a long time. If the estimated delivery date is beyond 30 days I can't see how the buyer might win through eBay. I have had a few buyers open claims...one 6 months and one 3 months...both were closed in my favor. Ebay allows buyers to open claims after long periods of time. Hopefully, its more than 30 days when he opened a claim. And yes, eBay does put a hold on that amount of money but does release it if you win. I think the battle is the time frame. I just don't know the time frame though.
If the buyer open a credit card dispute then usually that is hard to fight and you usually lose. Fighting a credit card dispute you might get charged an additional $20. so be careful. Reading your post again I guess you might get charged $30. instead of $20. This sounds like a credit card dispute. Very hard to fight even with tracking.

·3 years agoIt's a paypal chargeback, not via eBay. (Which gives 180 days)
All the OP can do is provide all the tracking information, take screen shots of all the order details information. And write a detailed summary.
I have had a better chance fighting these as a seller with PayPal than with CC companies.

Show the delivery confirmation in the Claim.
Note that this is a freight forwarder
Add that link.
EBay considers the shipment delivered when the forwarder accepts it.
Even if eBay already has the information, repeat it.

·3 years agoYou don't need a signature for proof of delivery below $750 on both eBay and PayPal @karafuzeart so why are you wasting any time at all on this buyer?
All you need to show is delivery to the freight forwarder. Beyond that, both eBay and PayPal don't care, whatever address it is reshipped to in another country.

OP3 years agoThey didn't side with me due to him opening his case through his credit card company...after the case was done though ebay did the right thing and released my funds and allowed me to keep them and they refunded him...he did send me a smart message saying haha I won...learned lesson...I am screening whom I sell to now...if that does not seem impossible I don't know what does...
