I am a seller,having problem with a return and also eBay has closed the return
I used to be a seller on eBay a long time ago when eBay was simpler and more user friendly. Now I am retired and I want to down-size and sell items that I have. My first sale has turned into a disaster. I sold a NFL jersey. Buyer when received the times requested a return. So I received email from eBay and they gave me 3 days to approve the return. I approved it immediately. Ebay immediately deducted the amount, more that they paid me initially. and they have closed the return. I have not received the jersey back and the seller said I should give a mailing label. I thought eBay was doing that but obviously not. I have been trying to contact eBay and it is IMPOSSIBLE. How can I get in touch with eBay and talk to a real person? Thanks

OP11 months agothank you all for your advice. It is trueI was a seller a long time ago beside I never had a return. This was my very first return and obviously I did not handle it right and I have to say eBay communication was not helpful and clear as what I should do. They told me I had 3 days to authorize the return and that is what I did. By the way eBay is kind of confuse about me also. Some of the email they send me they take me as the buyer, not the seller. I just want to be able to talk to a person or email a person, a real person. Is it possible at all? Thanks

·11 months agoIf they closed the return as soon as you approved it then you chose to refund without a return. If it happens again (and you want the item back) then make sure you are checking the box to refund after return.

OP11 months agoHonestly I did not see any box to check if I will refund after I received the jersey. Ebay told me I have 3 days to confirm the refund and I remember seeing somewhere that buyer has until Oct. 17 to return the jersey. Now how can I tell them I did not get the jersey. By the way the money they took out of my account was about $12 more than what was initially paid. They called it fees? what fees? the jersey is not sold but they deduct fee from me? Looks like I have a lot to learn. But Thank you for your remarks.

·11 months agoWhat does the case say? The buyer gets the label in a message from eBay and prints it out. We need to know what it says about the case. Pull it up under sales.

OP11 months agoThank you so much. I tried to find a case but did not. There is only a return detail that says items does not match as described with some pictures. That is just about it.

·11 months agoWhen a buyer opens an item not as described case (did the buyer open a case?) the seller is supposed to send a prepaid return label if he wants his item returned. Then, when the item is received back by the seller, the seller is supposed to refund.
That's covered in the Money Back Guarantee.
You must've have last sold a very long time ago because the MBG has been in effect for quite awhile.
