I am a Seller Refunding to Buyer
I am the Seller. I completed a Sale & Shipped/Delivered the product to A Buyer. The Buyer then Requested a return. I completed the Return Process & all the money is now refunded. Now the buyer wants me to cancel the refund & let them keep the merchandise. I do not know what to do now?

·6 months ago@texas_steve if the buyer wants you to cancel the refund, then it sounds like you REFUNDED BEFORE RECIEVING the item back, which you should NOT have chosen (to 'just refund'). You should've waited until you got it back, then inspect and refund. At this point, you need to
a.) HOPE the buyer sends it back as it is WAY too late to 'cancel'.
b.) create a new listing for same item, ask buyer to purchase again (so you get paid) and then you'll still have to 'mark item as shipped' (with no tracking) and then hope buyer is legit.

OP6 months agoThank you, Yes you are correct. I did refund the money before the item was returned to me. I wont do that again. But you have answered my principle question that I cannot undo a refund after it has already gone through! Thanks

Buyer has 30 day(sometimes longer) to return an item...if there is a return label...otherwise, maybe eBay takes back the refund I would think if not returned to you.
What would I do? Nothing...to see if the refund returns back to you.
I wouldn't even email buyer anymore.

·6 months agoIf the refund has been issued, you can't cancel it and the case would be closed.
If the money is just being held until the item is returned, the buyer can close the return.
