How to get a phone number of a live person to dispute and appeal a return. The Ebay system sucks and I cant figure it out . It seems Ebay automatically grants the returns

·2 months agoIn terms of a phone number - you don't get one. The transaction is between you & the buyer/seller.
Are you a buyer or a seller?

Another comment.
If you don't accept the return and force the buyer to go to ebay to approve the return, you'll not only be out the full amount the buyer paid (item + shipping) but you'll be out return shipping and your FVF won't be credited. And lastly, you'll end up with a defect on your account for not handling the return yourself.
Please come back with more details so you can get the most accurate advice based on what actually happened.

·2 months agoIf the system granted the return, there is nothing you can do but wait to get the items back and refund. If it is being returned as an INAD, you pay for the return, too. No one at customer service can change that.

·2 months agoIn general, you are wasting your time. Buyers who understand the system can always return their purchases.
There are some rare cases where a seller has some recourse, but they involve Top Ranked Sellers which you are not.

·2 months agoIf a return is opened, depending on which one it is, do NOT refund until you get the item back.

·2 months agoYou can get a call back from eBay customer support. However, the buyer is always right and you can't reject a return. No point requesting a call back for this.

·2 months agoThere is no phone number to dispute returns.
Returns are all automated.
Have you read the MBG for buyers?
All sellers should know what they are up against.
No returns does not mean no refunds per eBays MBG.
Please also read "how to handle a return request as a seller" to the right -

Which item is being (or was) returned?
Did the buyer open a return request? Did you respond?
If so, what was the reason?
Please give more information.
