How to collect additional shipping for re-ship after item returned by USPS due to incorrect address
Hello!
A buyer's item was returned to me marked "no such name, return to sender." I immediately emailed buyer asking to verify the address. A few days passed and I was about to contact ebay, when he wrote back to say the correct address was "2929" and not "2629" (2629 was the address given to ebay). He would like me to resend.
How do I: 1) correct the address on the label and 2) collect additional postage?
thanks so much!

Personally, I would just finish the original deal with whatever refunds are needed, relist and let them know they can repurchase. If you go the reshipping route, you may lose any further eBay protection for buyer and seller. I think it is a greater risk to the buyer.

1) Buy a new label on PirateShip, manually enter corrected address
2) Send screenshot of your PayPal address in messaging. This is one of the few times where exchanging such contact info is allowed.
If the item was expensive and the shipping was not, you might consider covering the re-ship cost yourself as a courtesy to the buyer.

Since it was the buyer's fault that the wrong address was initially listed, you should re-list the item, and contact the buyer to advise that the item was available to purchase again.
You may refund the buyer the original selling price, less the shipping charge, plus 40 cents eBay selling fee.

Don't know how new it is -- but here's the eBay quote --
"Final value fees
We charge one final value fee when your item sells, and you don't have to worry about third-party payment processing fees. This fee is calculated as a percentage of the total amount of the sale, plus a per order fee. For orders $10.00 or less the per order fee is $0.30, for orders over $10.00 the per order fee is $0.40."

The least complicated way to proceed would be to create a brand new listing. That gives the buyer a chance to select the correct shipping address BEFORE they buy it again.
