how do you speak with a live person?
I'm trying to return an item that i purchased as a guest, but i keep getting the run around by the automated assistant.

Guest purchases are not connected to your eBay account, so for help with a guest purchase you must first sign out of your eBay account, then use the "order details" link in the email you received from eBay regarding the guest order.

There’s usually no need to speak to a CS rep to complete the return of an item purchased as a guest. In fact, it often slows down the process.
What you need to do is locate the email you received after purchasing the item. It contains the instructions and links to begin the return.
Are you starting the return from that email?

·1 year agoGo to the main ebay page. Towards the top and left and above the search bar you will find help and contact. This is in tiny letters.
You should taken to a window "How may we help you today?" Type in return item as a guest (or similar.)
Follow the instructions to start the return.
