headlight bulbs

On 2/28/26 i ordered 2 sets of D4S Xenon HID Headlight bulbs (total $20.86) and received them on 3/5/26. I know it has been over 30 days for returns , but i have been recovering from a broken hip surgery and today was the 1st day i was able to replace burned out bulb but the new one didn't fit so i am asking for an extension to return the bulbs. I am aware that you are not obligated to accept my request. If you do not then i just take the lost. The seller was [removed by moderator] and i only have one order # 22-14282-67450. I doubt if the seller will take the return on these items because they offered free shipping.

I doubt it is worth your while to return the items if you have to pay for the return shipping and no seller is likely to pay for the return shipping on an out of policy return.

The seller is the only one who can grant you a return past the 30 days. Ebay is no longer involved in the transaction, and there is no extension for hard ships

Since you're past the 30-day return window, maybe try selling them yourself?

You could at least recover some of your money.

@mart3301 Nobody from eBay is here. If they were, they would confirm for you that you have 30-days. While emergencies and other things happen, the rules do not change. Otherwise every buyer would claim a hardship. Where would eBay draw the line?

You could message the seller, explain the situation, and ask if they would make an exception for you. They do not have to do that, but some sellers might. Keep your tone just as you have done here - let them know you appreicate it if they can, but if they cannot, you understand and you'll take the loss. You may just find if they do not give you a full refund, that they will meet you halfway. Maybe they have other bulb sizes and would sitll do an exchange?
