GPU purchased is bad after testing...Seller now unregistered user...How do I return?
Summary: humminbird-heaven purchased a GPU, which turned out to be defective, and is now facing issues returning it because the seller has become unregistered. Despite having extensive buying and selling experience on eBay, humminbird-heaven is unsure how to proceed, as only the 'return item' option is available. kensgiftshop suggested opening an 'Item Not As Described' case, but humminbird-heaven couldn't find this option and decided to return the item anyway. eoma689485 reassured that eBay would still have the seller's payment information. humminbird-heaven is concerned about potential delays in eBay intervention as the return window is nearing its expiration.
Purchased a GPU (video card) from a decent seller it seemed, as Ive been buying on here for many years.. Finally got a chance to test today...Black screen, no output...It turns on, thats it...Figured it was close to the 30 day ebay money back guarantee...It was delivered on the 5th of August, so I have 4 days left before the 30 days is expired. In the order details, I am only getting an option to 'RETURN THIS ITEM'..then says it will issue me a return label and for me to add pictures?? How am I going to get my $$$ back if the buyer is unregistered?
Ive been buying and selling on here for almost 2 decades...Ive had plenty of returns come back to me and have also spent hundreds of thousands of $$$ buying... Just have never been in this situation before and cant really find anything in the community since they completely changed the format??? The item with shipping was $233...Any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated as I dont have much luck with ebay phone customer service talking to people in India, Thanks

Unregistered does not mean that eBay scrubbed the Seller's payment information - they still have that.

OP1 week agoSent a request for return, but how will the seller get it if he is unregistered?? It says ebay can step in on the 9th...Thats 4 days past the 30 day return window. Why cant I escalate this sooner. Y'all know the seller isnt going to respond to the request. Or send me a return label.

Ebay will see that you get a refund.

OP1 week agoOnly option is to return in item details...I didnt see a item not as described option?? I marked it as defective...I guess I will go ahead and try to ship it back, thanks for responding
