    False Feeback.

It is very upsetting that EBay is refusing to help me in removing a false feedback. I had a customer order a item which we shipped right out and it was delivered within days. He then sent us multiple messages stating he no longer wanted or needed the item as he decided to sell the motorcycle in the meantime.  He repeatedly said he was going to refuse the package. We told him right away he could return the item and there would be a restocking fee. He demanded a full refund and again said he would be able to refuse the package even though it was already delivered. We once again told him he is more then welcome to return it but there would be a restocking fee like stated in our listing. He then immediately opened a return request saying the item was missing parts and then left a negative review. Once the package was returned it was clear it was never opened and the item was still shrink wrapped with all necessary parts included.

It's just upsetting that the couple reps i talked to all see he clearly didn't want the item as he no longer had the bike and used the return request as a loophole to return it but they all hide behind the same saying which is "Sorry but the system will not allow us to take it down".

Life would have just been so easy had you just allowed the buyer to "refuse" , and then refund for the item instead of insisting that you were going to use the not allowed "restocking fee" policy.  , UPS, so I suppose return shipping either way. but  no neg.

The package was already delivered so he couldn't refuse it. Not sure why he kept saying he could. also we have had people refuse packages before and UPS charged us the return shipping.

To the best of my knowledge, eBay sellers aren't allowed to charge a restocking fee.

First the feedback you received doesn’t qualify for removal.
Second eBay doesn’t allow sellers to charge a restocking fee.
If the item is damaged to recoup losses, you might be able to take a percentage up to 50% but since the buyer used a reason like missing parts and pieces you couldn’t do that.
You received your item back in the same condition you sent it , relist it and move on.

You sound just like a Ebay rep. LOL. I understand but it's just upsetting they see he clearly misused returns and they see his multiple messages of not wanting it and still can't remove the feedback as a courtesy. Just venting frustration.

Just be sure to 'report' the seller; which you can do since they left a negative. Although it may not help you now, if enough report that buyer for the same issue, that buyer will no longer be able to 'return/refund' anything.

Also- you can contact reps on facebook as those reps are much more helpful.

Thanks for the tip. I was unaware of Facebook reps.
