False claim ITEM IS NOT AS DESCRIBED
Likewise, the buyers are scamming and to make matters worse with the return of ''IT IS NOT AS DESCRIBED'' I had a case in which a buyer bought three sets of Christmas glasses and the buyer placed the order wrong and then opened a case which It says it is not as described, eBay approves the return. As a seller, I open a case against the buyer for false claim and eBay puts it in favor of the buyer, sending strong evidence of the purchase. I appealed the case and lost it, even the buyer did not return the product. He kept the money and the product and I lost money. Ebay is an abuser. If there were no sellers, eBay would not exist as a company. It is an abuse what eBay does with sellers who are the ones who work hard to earn our daily bread.

·2 years agoThat stinks that this happened to you. All the previous posters already told you what to do if this ever happens again. With the holidays ahead i hope you can make up for some of the loss with a bunch more sales. Good luck to you.

·2 years agoYou have sold 34,000 items on eBay and you are here complaining about an INAD that you handled incorrectly.
You know how eBay returns work. Send the return label IF you want the item back before refunding.

·2 years agoeBay automatically approves ALL returns because
a.) you offer 30 day returns
b.) not as described are 'auto approved' anyways
What does NOT make sense is
since the return was 'auto approved', you did NOT have to approve it to give a 'return' label so how did this case wind up to a point where
a.) buyer didn't return item
b.) you allowed ebay to 'handle' the refund, causing you a 'ding' (a HUGE no-no) as well as NOT get your item back- was this an 'international' sale?

·2 years agoOP probably got Ebay involved before they had a chance to return the item.
Ebay refunded and told them to keep it.

·2 years agoAs a seller, the best time to get Ebay involved is after the item is returned and the buyer has been refunded.

·2 years agoWorking it out with the buyer is the best solution.
If you let eBay do it you could end up where eBay gives the refund plus seller might not get the item back.
eBay approves the return which you need to send a return eBay label.
Since you didn't do anything except appeal...result is refund and item not return.

·2 years agoBecause Ebay had to step in, they will immediately refund the buyer without having to return the item. You are seen as not offering a resolution to the snad case, which is provide a return label and refund after return.
