Fake seller or listing, how to get refund for wrong item received
I won an auction. The seller send me a different item than I had won. My winning does not appear on my winning auction pages, oddly. I wrote the seller and told him this. He wrote back acknowleging that he made a mistake.
is there ANY way that eBay will attend to this issue so I am able to get a refund, and if so, how in the world can I `apply` for this refund?
Thanks!

·8 months agoThere is no evidence that suggest that this seller was trying to scam you. They acknowledged the mistake and is willing to refund upon return of the item. So to me that's no scammer. Mistakes happen in business that doesn't make the seller a scammer. If the transaction doesn't appear then there is an issue that has nothing to do with the seller.

OP8 months agoThe scam seller offered me a refund, by telling ME to open a refund case, while his listing page says he doesnt offer them. Additionally, his listing doesnt appear on my won pages or on the link you sent me, making it impossible for me to `apply` for a refund, krazzykats. But thanks. No solution, still.

Is it possible you purchased using a different eBay account? Or as a guest?
If you are certain you purchased using this account, the transaction should appear among your recent orders here:

OP8 months agoHe has ceased responding to me regarding my refund, FYI. eBay seems to have returned to welcoming scammy sellers, potentially I thought this had been fixed years ago.

eBay doesn't welcome scammy sellers. eBay offers a solution via the MBG; however, if the buyer doesn't use it, there isn't much eBay can do to help.
