Exchanged Item with Correct Item, How to close return from buyer
Seller here, sent the incorrect item to the buyer. Buyer contacted me and I asked them to open a return to generate a return label. I have shipped and they have received the new correct item and I the seller have received the return. How do I close the return request because the buyer does not want a refund?

·5 months agoIt seems to me that ebay purposely makes it difficult, because it seems like a very common and simple transaction, where one would think ebay would have a clear setup to indicate if the RETURN is for REFUND or a RETURN for EXCHANGE. I've lost money because of ebay REFUNDING my customer AFTER the EXCHANGE and RETURN was fulfilled, as I immediately sent the exchange jacket of a different size, before I received the return jacket, because I want to give prompt service ro my buyers. In fact she received the exchange jacket, 1 day before I received her RETURNED jacket. All was good, UNTIL ebay sent a REFUND to my buyer, even after she NEVER requested a REFUND.

·8 months agoYour refund will be automatically issued along with a defect, if you didn't already voluntarily issue a refund within 2 business days after the wrong item was delivered back to you.
Unfortunately if your buyer plays dumb, eBay will not help you to close the return nor block the refund.

Thank you, that make sense since the buyer gas not responded to my email after new item was delivered. Also, that is not cool with eBay, makes you not want to go over and beyond for buyers.
