Ebay Wrongfully Withholding Funds
Ebay is withholding all funds because they say I have not responded to a buyer email. I have responded to them. Note: Buyer is requesting a refund for an item that was advertised and sold as not returnable. I have offered the buyer a refund anyway minus eBay fees and shipping costs.

·5 months agoGentle Reminder:
No need to express shock or disappointment that a long-time eBayer wasn't fully versed in the MBG. That someone can have decades on eBay without even a basic understanding underscores that it isn't required reading to be a successful buyer or seller. Pointing out length of time on eBay might be seen as shaming.

·5 months ago@lonniepya ebay did NOT say 'you didn't respond to buyers email'.
What they said was 'you did not respond to the return request'.
So, then ebay will just 'approve' the refund WITHOUT forcing the buyer to return the item as well as NOT returning you Final Value Fees.
You REALLY need to read about returns and how they work (and how your 'No Returns' does NOT work, and how No Returns does NOT mean 'no refunds').

·5 months agoIf/when a buyer opens an item not as described case, the seller's only options are to send a prepaid return label and refund upon receipt or just refund and let the buyer keep the item.
It seems like someone who's been here since October, 2000, would be aware of that provision in the Money Back Guarantee for buyers.

·5 months agoebay will not hold funds for not responding to a customer email. They will not intervene based on private emails/messages....
They will withhold funds if you do not respond to a buyers open case initiated through ebay.....
Also, when you offer a refund properly, the fees are credited back to your account. If the buyer opened the case with a "Not as Described" reason you will pay return shipping regardless of your policies.

They are rightfully holding your funds as a buyer complaint is open.
Buyers have rights on this platform, this isn't Craigslist or your local garage sale.
Your "no refunds" policy is superseded by any problems that may arise, i.e. not as advertised, damaged in transit, etc.
Make sure you respond INSIDE THE CASE and not through ebay's messaging system.
