Ebay shipping scam
I believe to be a victim of a shipping scam, where an item is purchased and returned via USPS with incorrect shipping information provided so the courier is forced to return the item due to incorrect shipping information. The tracking confirms the item is being returned to sender however eBay has taken the buyer’s side and has issued a full refund for the returned item due to “received valid proof that the item was returned to you.†The tracking provided clearly shows this item is being returned to the sender but I have failed to have the appeal against me overturned. I have provided proof of non-delivery and I am attempting to reverse the appeal decision. Any help would be appreciated. It is my understanding that high value items ($750 value or more) are supposed to be returned with a signature requirement however this item is high value and was not returned with this proof of delivery. I originally shipped this item through UPS (not usps) and I shipped with full insurance and proof of delivery (signature confirmation). Any feedback to help overturn this appeal decision would be extremely helpful. I am currently waiting for the appeals team to review my proof of non-delivery. Please advise if I should provide the tracking number here for additional review.

OP2 years agoThe return shipping address is listed correctly on eBay however USPS could not confirm the shipping information used. I believe the label may have been tampered with or not clearly legible.
