EBay Refunded the Wrong Amount, Seller Says He Can't Help
I recently returned a pair of shoes for a refund. They were $54 plus tax and shipping, for a total of $70.77.
I paid for the return shipping label when it was printed out. No problem.
When the refund was issued, it was for cost of the return shipping label was deducted, even though I'd already paid for it. EBay issued a refund of $45.97, which doesn't even cover the price of the shoes.
The seller says the problem is on EBay's side and he cannot help. I can find absolutely no way of contacting EBay for help with this. The refund has already been issued, so they consider it closed.
I'm really frustrated.

·2 years agoAre you sure you paid for the label at that moment? For the returns I get, the return shipping label cost is deducted from the buyer's refund. You may have "purchased" the label thru eBay with the return funds to be collected once refunded.

·2 years agoIf you paid for the return label it was a remorse return, therefore the seller is allowed to deduct the original shipping cost from the refund.

·2 years agoHow did you pay for the label at the time it was printed? Any situation I have been in before, the buyer is provided a pre-paid label that is paid out from the refund (deducted from refund). What method was used for you to pay for the label at time of printing? Did you use a label other than what was provided as a pre-paid?
Edit: Please explain the exact method of payment you used to pay for the label at the moment it was printed.....
