Hi all,Just wanted to share whatâ€™s happened to me recently and see if anyone else has been through similar, or has any advice. I sold a graphics card worth Â£360. After the buyer received it, they said it was faulty, even though I know for a fact it wasnâ€™t, as it worked fine before I sent it. Still, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and accepted the return. It was only after accepting the return that I noticed the photos they attached had a different serial number to the one I sent. I messaged them about it, and they denied it, saying I was the one who sent the wrong item, which wasnâ€™t true. At that point it was too late, the return was underway, and I just had to wait for it to arrive.Exceptâ€¦ it never did. I was at home when I got a notification from eBay saying the parcel had been delivered and the buyer would be refunded. But Iâ€™d received nothing. I checked my doorbell camera footage and there was no delivery that entire day. I assumed either the buyer had somehow faked the return through Royal Mail, or the postman had messed up. So I went to my local delivery office and spoke to the manager. He checked the GPS scan of the delivery and even asked the postman about it. Nothing added up. The parcel had been delivered to a completely different area in my town, not my address, but even the manager couldnâ€™t figure out how it happened. He told me itâ€™s not something Royal Mail could sort out directly, as it's technically a contract between me and the buyer. So he printed off documentation proving that it wasn't delivered to my address, and I passed that on to eBay through an appeal.But all I got back was a message basically saying:The tracking says delivered, so theyâ€™ve processed the refundThey now consider the case closedIf I have further issues, I should take it up with the courier or the buyerIâ€™m honestly stunned. Thereâ€™s proof the item wasnâ€™t delivered to my address, and evidence that the buyer returned something different, but that wasnâ€™t enough for eBay to reverse the refund. Iâ€™ve now lost the item and the Â£360, and theyâ€™re just telling me thereâ€™s nothing more they can do. Has anyone managed to successfully escalate something like this? Iâ€™m not going to let it go, just want to know what my options really are from here.Appreciate any advice,â€“ Adam
