Ebay keep sending me email regarding a transaction that I never received
ebay keep sending me email asking for personal information
i post a ipad pro for sale and one person bought it but I cancelled the order and refunded the money to the buyer so no money was collected or receive
so please stop sending me emails

·2 years agoThe problem with eBay's system is they let new sellers list items for sale before verifying their personal info and completing the managed payments set up. It's a bad system. They should be verifying all of that before allowing sellers to list items, the same way other platforms do.
What was the value of the iPad Pro @lorlorlui ? If payment sent by buyer including shipping was $600 plus then eBay is required by law to send a 1099-K, even if you cancelled and refunded. Sellers need to account for expenses and refunds. If the iPad was $600+ you would be required to report the sale when filing taxes, even though it would come to nothing owed since you cancelled and refunded the sale.

They keep sending emails because they think you want to sell here and so you can be paid if you do. It's all good...

You need to provide the information so it can be reported, if needed.

If the buyer did not pay then you would not have needed to refund them.
This isn’t eBay. You are not talking to anyone who works for eBay.
This is a community forum for buyer and seller discussions.
We can’t stop eBay from messaging you. Give them the info they want and they will stop otherwise eBay will more than likely suspend your account for noncompliance.
