Ebay has Lost all Respect and my use on their platform.
I'm done with Ebay. They DO NOT care about their sellers. I have a store here in Texas called Canvas Design Co. and I started to sell here on Ebay to give it a try. When you first post a product you can choose a NO REFUND option for the buyers, so I did. I had sold multiple JBL Speakers on this platform and had gotten great reviews; then, a buyer claimed that my product didn't work and requested a refund. I told the buyer that It worked before I sent it out, and I have video proof of it working right before I boxed it (I also told Ebay that I have video evidence supporting my argument). The Buyer then made a claim against me, so Ebay went ahead and issued a refund for them; though I put NO REFUNDS. I told Ebay that the buyer is lying and I have video evidence, but they didn't care what I had to say at all. They issued the buyer a shipping label to send it back. I received the shipment wrapped in duct tape, electrical tape, and shipping tape. When I opened the package there was trash in it such as wrappers and water bottle wrappings. I rummaged through this garbage to find the speaker I sent with what looked to be a mangled box (missing the charger it came with etc.). I turned the speaker on and it worked perfectly; with no signs of it failing. I called Ebay and expressed that the buyer Lied to Ebay and me, and they didn't listen to me the first time around. They said you can now report the Buyer, so I got on my Laptop to report the Buyer, but it is not possible. Every time I try to report a buyer it is stuck on load. I've tried countless times on different computers. Ive called, but no one could help.
Now I've been cheated out of my earnings plus shipping tax ect. because of Ebay and a Liar. I messaged the Buyer telling him that he had cheated the system and when I could he would be reported. He called me a liar and told me not to contact him. He also gave me a faulty review, and now it reflects bad on me. Ebay has lost all my respect. I can proudly say I will never use this site again, because of how badly they treat their sellers.

·3 years agoI would be thrilled I actually got my item back in good condition and then sell it again. All sales on here do not go as planned. Some are returns, some are returns for any type of issue whatsoever. Some reasons noted by buyers for returns are not correct, as far as condition of item, etc etc. You just always allow a return and avoid all the drama.

If I was your customer should I be out of my money because you think they should be working?
Maybe FBMP and OU with cash only will work better for you.

·3 years agoThere's no such thing as no refunds on Ebay.
You can choose no returns, but that doesn't mean you won't be refunding.
If the buyer files an INAD, the MBG overrules your no returns.
The video doesn't prove anything.
You can't prove the item you took the video of is the item the buyer received or if the item worked when the buyer received it.

·3 years agoI'm not doubting your product what so ever. Unfortunately, eBay has a 100 percent money back guarantee platform which overrides only stated refund policy you may have. It is unfortunate that if a buyer says an item is not working or is not as described and is taking advantage of a seller eBay, because Ebay will always side with the buyer if they open up a case.
Best thing you can do follow the return process, have the buyer ship the item back to you. As long as you get your item back in the same condition you sent it then refund the buyer. Make sure you tape yourself opening the returned product so you have a proof if the item comes back to you in a different condition than you sent it.
Also don't ignore the request because after I believe three days if you don't respond eBay will refund the buyer and let them keep the item .

·3 years agoPerhaps you didn't know this, but taping yourself doing anything involving eBay is a complete waste of time. eBay sides with the buyer a very high percentage of the time, regardless of any evidence you may have to disprove his claim.

·3 years agoYou should NEVER sell ANYTHING on ANY site where you get an electronic form of payment.
Only CASH in person will work for you (as ANY payment can become a 'chargeback' from any buyer on any venue up to 6 months- and has been this way for 20+years.).
Even 'in person' (at a store) use of a Credit Card, the 'customer' can do a chargeback and win 80% of the time.

You've mistaken the Return policy of 'No Returns' by interpreting it as 'NO REFUNDS'. Two different beasts entirely.
Although any Refund policy wouldn't have helped you with a Not as Described reason... eBay's MBG trumps the policy.

You know that when sellers could win SNAD cases with proof ebay was growing by leaps and bounds.

·3 years agoYou probably should have done a little more research before you started to sell on eBay.
There is no such thing as "No Refunds" if a buyer opens an item not as described case.
This is clearly outlined in the Money Back Guarantee for buyers and ALL sellers need to read it.
How would you feel if you had spent your hard-earned dollars on something, it arrived in bad condition, but your seller was not required to refund you because his listing stated "No Refunds"?
And you might as well learn right now -- eBay is well known to be heavily biased in favor of buyers.
