EBAY AT IT AGAIN CHANGING DATES ON PURCHASES Nullifying returning item under Not as Described
Ebay back at it again, going back and changing the original listing estimated delivery date to a super late date so the item cannot be returned. Till lately I did not know if a purchase, does not arrive by estimated delivery date that it was treated as NAD Obviously FEEBAY would lose their fees on a return so they go back and change original listing. I purchases an item, seller took 5 days before shipping pitiful USPS ground A, who promptly lost and stoners at Memphis always hold a week. Guessing it will be almost a month before I get. Now since EBAY went and altered the original list I cannot return. SO if you buy something GET A SCREENSHOT after a month I do not want item They will change dates AFTER you buy something

·5 months agoPlease go back in your own Purchase History and find the listing for this item. It shows the listing as it looked when you bought it. Look at the EDD there. That's the true estimated delivery date for you. When you look at the listing now as it would look if you bought it TODAY, it will show an EDD that reflects that.
There is no date changing involved.

·5 months agoYou're misunderstanding how the dates work. If you look at the original listing now, what you're seeing is the estimated delivery date if you were to purchase it TODAY. To see the estimated delivery date for your purchase, you need to go into your Purchase History and find that order there.

·6 months agoYou may have misunderstood some of eBay's information. Regarding the ability to open an item not as described case, the buyer has 30 days after the actual delivery date to open an item not as described case.
And regarding the ability to open an item not received case, the buyer has 30 days after that date to open an item not delivered case.

Instead, look at the Odor Details page, or in the email confirming your odor. Then click RETURN THIS ITEM to start your return request for your free NAD return.

·6 months agoYou need to vet your sellers better. If speed is important, you need to look for one that ships within your desired time frame, and has feedback that reflects the fact the seller reliably ships on time.
Many of us ship on time, and many of us offer same day, 1 day or 2 day shipping. Simply check feedback before buying to confirm.
As far as the situation going on at various hubs with late and missing mail, people need to write their Congressmen and ask them to investigate what is going on. This has been successful in getting issues sorted out at various hubs around the country. We as sellers cannot control what the USPS does, but they are absolutely accountable to Congress.

·6 months agoThe longer an item takes to be delivered, the longer you have to return it. The 30 days don't begin until AFTER it has been delivered.
With all of your complaining, why do you still even use this website? Go shop somewhere else if you hate it this much. Tired of reading these whiny posts.

I have been experiencing the same thing you are, all of a sudden, USPS tracking on eBay changes from original "estimated" delivery date to a much longer "extended" delivery date. Also, my purchases end up sitting at USPS hub in Memphis, TN for up to 8 - 13 days and if I am lucky, item will finally show in the next USPS hub in my state (which is below Tennessee). However, even if it makes it to main hub in my state, once again item sits a few days there before finally being delivered. There are times at Memphis and Jackson, MS item gets mis-sorted and next thing I see is it went north of TN or west to Louisiana! We are at the mercy of USPS.
The extended changed delivery you refer to is not eBay doing this, but fault is with USPS. I have literally stopped buying anything on eBay, not because of eBay itself, but because of USPS!
I have not had one purchase since middle of January 2026 that has ever arrived in a week's time. EVERY purchase's USPS tracking number ends up being extended. I always wait 2-1/2 weeks then I file Missing Mail search via USPS website. USPS has become so unreliable that not one of these searches have been answered by them.
Being frustrated about the shipping time frame taking 3-4 weeks now from USPS, I decided to do research on USPS. I felt that I have not got to be the only person experiencing such horrible performance by USPS. The following information may help you:
Most “Missing Mail” cases only get resolved when: The package finally gets scanned; It reaches the destination city; or It’s delivered without ever updating. This is frustrating, but it’s consistent with current USPS performance.
