ebay and scammer ripped me off
Seller was able to list under ebay buyer protection and it was a lie. Shame on ebay for allowing this to happen. I out over $200, never received the item, no seller contact and ebay mysteriously responds by this item is not covered under buyer protection with out reason. They should look into this type of scamming loophole.

·10 months agoWhy you waited and waited, and then waited longer we don't know.
Something shipped in the USA does not take weeks and weeks to ship to someone in the USA.
You get 30 days...not 31 days for file for item not received on 'estimated date of arrival'.

OP10 months agoDid you not read my comment? I have at times with other sellers, have had them send my purchased items with a delay. Not a regular situation but but it has happened. Not a problem. I have patience and can wait. Some times they had communicated the delay and some times they did not. I sent an inquiry and then noticed a change in delivery date.
ALSO the EDD does change when you look at the listing in your ebay account. That's the whole point. Viewing the original sell listing ship date CHANGED and it was NOT daily. After the 7 day ship date it changed.
My claim was within the 30 timeframe. A timeframe that is generous? Also what does it matter? I would think a company that is ethical would want help their users/clients. You'd think ebay would choose to help. Bottom line this was a scam and I was robbed.

·10 months agoThe dates were changed on eBay? Or in a message? Who changed the dates are critical to know what happened

·10 months agoJust to add.....95.5% positive feedback for that seller is a horrible feedback score especially now with auto feedback for sellers. Myself I want to see above 98% before even bothering to go deeper and read any of the actual feedback.
Better luck to you in the future...................

·10 months agoShame on ebay for allowing this to happen.
@ironye
Respectfully, eBay had your back. You chose not to use the buyer protection that eBay offers.

OP10 months agoNo, they didn't. The reason I was told that it would not apply was because my order/claim had been placed in not enough time. A week an a half AFTER I did not receive my item or a reply from seller did I make my claim. Really?

·10 months agoPer eBay's Money Back Guarantee, a buyer who does not receive his purchase by one day past the last estimated delivery date seen in the listing can open an item not received case with eBay the following day and has 30 days to do so with eBay. Per the MBG, this is the only way for a buyer to handle an INR. So, what was the last estimated delivery date as seen in the listing, and when did you open your INR case?
BTW, most credit cards give you longer than 30 days to do a chargeback, some as much as 180 days. You probably should explore that option.
And I sincerely hope you'll keep this in mind in regard to future transactions.
PS: Incidentally, now that I've read your further messages about the delivery date resetting, have to tell you that cannot happen. The EDD is the one you saw in the listing when you made the purchase.

·10 months agoI looked at the item you purchased Bowen Designs THE RED SKULL - MARVEL Painted Statue 0709/2000 (2006)
It looks like it was purchased in September 10th seller had 2 day handling time.
If you did not receive it, You had 30 days from the last estimated date of delivery to file an item not received case. If you let too much time pass you would not be able to file a case.
If you are waiting too long to file through eBay it is not eBay’s fault.
Your only recourse would be to file through your credit card or PayPal.

OP10 months agoI bought something from the "seller" on Sep 10th with a arrival date Oct 8-15 THEN relisted to Oct 18-22 to Nov 1-7 to Nov 8-13th. I've sent multiple messages to seller and NO reply. The SHIPPING DATES KEPT change and rolling over. SO I never missed my actual window for a claim.

·10 months agoYou should have filed the item not received claim after the last estimated delivery date passed.

OP10 months agoThe shipping date continued to reschedule until I had enough. It's still doing that as I type. I bought something from the "seller" on Sep 10th with a arrival date Oct 8-15 THEN relisted to Oct 18-22 to Nov 1-7 to Nov 8-13th and so on. I've sent multiple messages to seller and NO reply after the first switched shipping dates. I don't have $ to burn so out over $200 and no item really hits hard.

·10 months agoYou seem confused, if the seller had more of that item and listed it the estimated date of delivery of your item won’t change because of the new listing.
If you paid with a credit card or PayPal you can open item not received case through them you will be refunded.
If you don’t want to do that, that’s totally up to you.
ironye
OP10 months agoNo your incorrect. The listing never changed or was never re-listed. The sellers ship dates for item arrival had continuously been changing and was showing a change with shipping dates! I had waited until the 3rd shipping date change to cancel/refund my order. I technically had NOT been late in making a claim.

·10 months agoThe dates you see when looking at the listing show when the item would be delivered if it was purchased TODAY. That is why it keeps updating.
If you look at your purchase history, under my eBay, you would see the original estimated delivery dates, which are most likely now over 30 days ago.
ironye
OP10 months agoYes that WAS the original date for the initial purchase, when no item was received I checked the order and a NEW shipping date was listed. Hence the scam (now that I know). Ebay conveniently only uses that original date/s as a precedent? Pretty shady. I give a seller the benefit of needing more time to deliver that gives a scammer a loophole in deceiving the buyer. Crappy. If anything ebay should have something scripted into their system to prevent this. That could be in, forget it. I did nothing wrong or incorrect with my situation, period. Plain and simple I got ripped off.

·10 months agoIf you're checking the order details, the EDD doesn't change.
Looking at the listing, yes, those dates will change every day.

·10 months agoIt seems like perhaps you did not understand the way this works. Sorry about that. And, as we've mentioned, you can do a chargeback on whatever card you used for payment.

·10 months agowho rescheduled the dates? The seller? Was the item listed as a presale?
momtoabeautifuldaughter
·10 months agoIf the seller had more than one of this item then the delivery date changes to reflect if someone was to buy it today.
Your delivery date would have never changed...if you looked on your order details it tells the estimated delivery date for YOUR ORDER

·10 months agoIf you didn't receive an item that you bought and paid for, per the MBG, you had 30 days to open an item not received case with eBay.
You mention that the item is "not covered under buyer protection". Care to tell us what the item was or at least the item number?
PS: If this refers to the transaction where you left the negative FB, did you realize that (1) the estimated delivery date seen in the listing IS the EDD and that you can open an item not received case one day after that date if you've not received your item? (2) So that date and no other is the date when your item should arrive and you have 30 days after that date to open an item not received case.
Also we aren't allowed to "name and shame" here.
