Does eBay have access to the FBI?
So recently not too long ago he said he was selling a PlayStation five for a cheap price. The seller contacted me and said that they didn’t have the money on them so they wanted me to send them money.(this is probably why I messed up too) . so I sent the money via bitcoin.(red flag I know). when they ask for additional money, I drop the whole thing the seller was blowing me up and I just repeatedly ignore it. Then I receive a text from a guy calling himself James from the federal Bureau of investigation fbi talking about how they were contacted by eBay to investigate scamming. And then I find out that the seller was contacted to investigate the scam.

Signs of a scam
Deals going outside Ebay
Contact to your phone via text message
OBVIOUS grammar errors ( this is always a sign of scams )
Scare tactics
Definitely cut your losses and report this to Ebay and even possibly contact your local police department because if they don't take it lightly when people impersonate police, fbi, Cia etc
Also, the FBI would literally show up at your door and not contact you beforehand lol. Also, they would include full names etc and identify themselves as a federal agent rather than im from ( the ) Federal Bureau of Investigation lol. But definitely an obvious scam and should report it to hopefully get a resolution
