Didn't Receive an Item and Ebay's automated system is no help
Okay, Ebay's automated system where you can't converse with a live person anymore is frustrating.
I ordered an item on April 17 and as of April 29 never got it. Now I want to open an "I Didn't Receive It" claim, but when its automated system comes up and wants me to select the item IT DOESN'T SHOW and furthermore when I search by its item number IT STILL DOESN'T SHOW. Then I get messages like "did you use a different account" (which I didn't) or "is it over 90 days ago" (which it isn't).
I think either (1) Ebay has an error or glitch (2) Ebay or the Seller are intentionally trying to rip me off.
HOW CAN I CONTACT A LIVE PERSON AT EBAY ABOUT THIS??
This is the item number, so it's real: 19-11449-41774

·2 years agoFirst - the shipping appears to be through the odd ebay card postage rate they setup with no true tracking number. Lots of complaints in regards to it as the only "tracking" associated with it is when it goes through a USPS processing center.
You said it shows as delivered. Did you receive the item?

OP2 years agoMy issue is not any of the common issues that Ebay's "automated" replies try to tell me. No, I didn't buy it as a "Guest" (it still shows in my purchase history). No, it isn't before the estimated delivery date (April 29). I tried contacting the Seller, and got no response, although I took a screenshot showing I ordered on April 17 and as of April 29, the tracking still showed it has not been sent. However, all of a sudden, there is the Ebay tracking (not the USPS tracking) that shows delivered on April 30 (weird) although when I click the "Contact Courier" tab, it says the tracking number is not valid. There's something going on here, and it's really frustrating, especially since Ebay now has eliminated all contact with live humans. Despite using Ebay for almost 25 years now, I'm hesitant to trust Ebay anymore. The Ebay item is # 226061127219, if that's any help.

·2 years agoeBay Standard Envelope (ESE) is a metered mail shipment so it does not receive traditional tracking scans like a package would, and the clerk at the PO counter cannot scan it or track it. The envelope is scanned by sorting machinery at distribution centers along the way. @philabramoff
With ESE, a 'delivered' scan generally occurs at the last USPS sort facility before it gets to the buyer, so typically the buyer will receive their order a few days after the delivered scan.
If you just saw a delivery scan then I suggest giving a couple more days for the envelope to turn up.
You can sign up for USPS Informed Delivery. You get an email every morning with images of letter mail you'll be receiving that day (ESE should be pictured with the letter mail), and the email will also show a list of package tracking numbers arriving that day.
https://www.usps.com/manage/informed-delivery.htm
When an item is pictured on your informed delivery email, but that item isn't delivered, you can log in to your account at usps.com and report that you didn't receive it. That alerts the PO and they will alert your carrier that a mail piece was missing from your delivery.

·2 years agoThat is not an item number, we can't see anything with that number. That is your purchase number not the listing number.
Did you buy as a guest?
If you were signed in, did you look in the My eBay drop down under purchases?
Try looking at the actual email you use for your account, not eBay messages. You should/could have received several emails to that account about your purchase.
When you placed the order, do you recall what was the estimated delivery date was? The is the important thing. You cannot open an item not received before that date.
One other thing to check, look in My eBay under recreantly view. It should be there.

·2 years agoThat's the order number, not the item number @philabramoff .
It sounds like you tried to file a non-receipt claim through the help page here:
https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/get-help-item-hasnt-arrived?id=4042
If that path is not working for you, look for the item on your purchase history page here:
https://www.ebay.com/mye/myebay/purchase
Under 'more actions' follow the prompts saying you didn't get the item yet. You won't be able to file a claim unless it's past the estimated delivery date window.

·2 years agoWhen you searched the item # did you check the box for completed listings?
What is the item #?
Is the item in your orders or purchase history in myebay?
Or did you receive an order confirmation email?
