Defective Return requires a photo to accept. I am unable to provide photo on computer but iPhone OK?
Item was a switch that had a short and drained battery. Bot new battery! Drained it! Took it two a Mechanic that charge $100 hr. spent two hrs. tracking to short in the switch! Out $200 + new battery I didn't need!
e-Bay is insisting on a photo before I can return and recoup my measly $65.???? I only know how to send photos with my cell.

·1 year agoFind you a young person and ask them to help. I bet they will have a picture uploaded in a few seconds with a few key strokes.

Another way that I do to keep my phone from getting cluttered up with photos. I plug my phone into my desktop then drag n drop photos into a folder on my desktop. I also use this method to change up the music in my phones' music folder. It also charges my phone if I leave it plugged in afterward.

Open your emails...slide photo outside of email...open claim and insert photo.

ebay has been requiring the busy work step of a photo upload in a slow rollout in some returns for quite a while now.
It does not yet require you to upload a photo that is relevant to the return request.

eBay is insisting? Or the seller is insisting?
I have never heard that eBay demands photos of anything from a buyer who wants to return something.

·1 year agoWhen doing a return eBay does request a photo of item in the claim...and that photo is placed beside the original photo of item that was sold.

Ah, yes, thank you! I completely forgot.
In that case one cannot simply use a photo from the listing as it will not show the defects / damage to the item, correct?

·1 year agoIt doesn't even have to be that. You could upload a picture of me trying on a pretty sundress.
...and while that might make everyone here on the board vomit it is good enough for ebay as of now.
That could change at any moment though.

By ‘eBay’, the OP probably means the ‘return request process’. We sometimes have to provide a photo in order to initiate the return process.

I send a photo of the item from my cellphone to my personal email account. I can then copy & paste the photo from the email to the return request in eBay.
