defective product with a warranty
I bought a warranty with Allstate for car headlights 2006 GMC canyon. Mfg has 1 year warranty. The seller of lights on eBay says 30 day warranty fg says 1 year and I bought 1 year extended warranty from Allstate insurance. I can not get anyone to honor any of the warranties. seller will not send me the receipt for purchase, Allstate will not honor warranty because i do not have a receipt, I have a light that is leaking and fogging up and it is less than year old. Allstate says on line mt warranty is still good to December 2024. it si complicated case and i can not get any help from eBay for this problem to file a claim. They will not chat with me or call me back to resolve this question and solve this problem. Seller is no help because he is basing warranty on his 30 day return policy and part failed after 4-8 months after installation.

Find your order and then view Order Details. Sometimes the details will provide the Sellers Info like name and address, but not always.
If the manufacturer warranty is good until December 2024 then you may have to wait until December 2024 to file a claim with Allstate.

It is with Allstate...you should have a telephone number to call to Allstate.
I never heard anyone getting a warranty covered with something sold such as your item on eBay.
Maybe someone here can tell you how to do it.
I have Allstate insurance for my apartment and motorcycle. They are great with me.
I can't imagine calling Allstate and asking for help though....you need some kind of policy number which is suppose to be on file with them.
I had a claim and person I talked to was from Ohio...and I live in San Francisco.
Maybe claims such as yours are done online...with Allstate.

Doesn't start until...December 2024.
Which is not...here yet.
So can't call Allsnake before 2025?

·2 years agoYour problem really is just with Allstate. The seller isn't involved with any extended warranty purchase so there really is nothing that they can do. You said that Allstate requires a receipt. Did you receive an email when you purchased the warranty? That should qualify as an receipt.
