Days to return an item
I was just informed that the buyer has 18 days to return my item. Is this commonplace now???
Nothing says that feeBay has my back like this return policy... GRRR

·1 year agoI had a remorse return last month ....buyer got 35 days to return item.
Nothing was returned...no tracking in-put...and I just gave-in... the buyer got a refund with "shipping" per eBay only allowed that without closing it.
Was it a glitch? It was my first return.
Even after 30 days without any tracking showing it still would not close in my behalf.

·1 year agoI wouldn't have refunded.
The case would time out and close at some time.

·1 year agoI didn't want to take a chance of it not happening.
Seems there was a glitch on mine.

Nothing was returned...no tracking or anything.
Would you really not refund on this?
I didn't want to get a 'ding'.

·1 year agoIf they show it was returned, not much you could you.
Did you report that you received nothing?

·1 year agoThat is not all bad. With the extra time allowed buyers may put off returning it and never get around to sending it back.

·1 year agoBeen that way since COVID.
They give buyers a lot of time to get the item returned.

·1 year agoThat's nonsense @kensgiftshop and @soh.maryl (kudoer) as usual.
Because buyers already had 15 business days to ship returned items, even before COVID.

·1 year agoBefore that update, I think they gave the buyer 5 days to get the item returned.
That update was done when COVID was hitting the US.

No, the update was done before COVID.
After COVID was hitting the US, eBay increased the 15 business days buyers have to ship a return back to the e.g. 2 gifts sold in a year then quit selling sellers, to 21 business days.

It's unfortunate @kensgiftshop how you keep getting caught telling lies. "That update was made" on February 26, 2020 here setting the buyer return timeline at 15 business days, before "they considered COVID a Pandemic in March, in the US."
Then one month later on March 25, 2020, the buyer return timeline was temporarily increased to 21 business days, as previously exhibited.

Yes, this update was done in Feb., the other was done later.

·1 year agoThat’s wrong. They have 30 days from the time they receive it to return. And, Yes, that’s standard now.
