·3 years agoIf by same issue you mean you closed your return then you need to go to your method of payment be it paypal or cc, debit card and file a chargeback.
If buyer voluntarily close return then there is no reopening and you can't open a new one.

·3 years agoIf you are saying that you have received an item that is not as described, or is defective, you need to follow the advice of the people here who have answered the OP.
If not, then it would be a good idea to start your own separate thread. You will get more responses that way.
ALL buyers need to make themselves familiar with eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers. It's quite good, but the buyer needs to read it, understand it and use it in a timely manner.
ETA: You just registered here today, so I take it that whatever happened to you was on another ID?

OP3 years agoNever mind y'all. I just frustrated trying to get eBay to read my messages with this seller

·3 years agoYou communicated with eBay already. By closing your return you told eBay you don't want your money.

·3 years agoSomewhat surprising that someone with 3721 FB did not know how to handle an item not as described case.
And felt compelled to be rude to someone who was trying to help. eBay doesn't need to read your messages. You opened a case. You closed it because the seller told you to do so. Follow the suggestions of the others here.

·3 years agoThen open a case for doesn’t match pictures or descriptions, don’t allow the seller to talk you into closing the case. If you can’t open a case in eBay you can open a not as described dispute through PayPal if that’s how you paid or call your credit card and file a chargeback.

·3 years agoYou've contacted a very large group of fellow eBayers. We have no way to look at messages.
Have you read eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers? If not, now would be a good time to do so.
Just open an item not as described case.
Just curious: In your 19 years on eBay, is this the very first time you've encountered a problem as a buyer?

You can just open a return case if it is within 30 days of the delivery date.
Go to your eBay Purchase History and open a return case.
Find the item in your Purchase History and press the big, blue 'Return this item' button. Select "Item is Not as Described" as the reason for the return.
If it requires you to upload a photo to the return case you will need to do that.
Seller will be required to provide a prepaid shipping label IF they want the item back before refunding.
When the return tracking shows delivered back to the seller, the seller will have 2 days to inspect and refund your purchase. If that does not happen there will be an "Ask eBay to Step In", option for you to click on. EBay will refund your money.
If seller does not send a return label within 3 days and the "Ask eBay To Step In" option is not available, you may have to contact eBay. If you need help, come back here with details and dates of what has transpired. Or just contact eBay thru Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/eBayForBusiness/
Using the instant messaging.
Under NO circumstances do you close the return before getting your refund, REGARDLESS of what the seller might tell you.

OP3 years agoI know that. Seller suggested solution so I canceled return.
It appeared to work but didn't.
Now I'm being ghosted with auto reply messages.
Trying to talk to a rep with eBay is a waste of time

Would have been nice if you had known what I wrote in the last paragraph.
Buyers only get one shot at returns on eBay.
Try PayPal or your Credit Card if you used one of those two. The credit card chargeback is usually a slam dunk for you on an item is not as described type of claim.

OP3 years agoI quit reading when it appeared you were copying and pasting and telling Noah about
the flood. I have over 4000 transactions on eBay.
Was venting my spleen

·3 years ago@jwfjr6060 No need to be rude.
You come here and expect everyone to "know" what you did and didnt do.
Didnt look like venting. It looks like you expect eBay to be here and look at your messages.
Since you are all knowing, YOU should have known to not cancel the return request.
Good luck to you!

At least this ^^^ mistake won't cost you anything. You have enough info to move to Option #2. Good luck.

·3 years agoSeller suggested solution so I canceled return.
@jwfjr6060
If you've cancelled your Return request... then you've botched it with eBay. eBay Money Back Guarantee policy
If you paid with PayPal, file a claim there (you will have to pay return postage)... last chance is with your credit card.

·3 years agoYou messed up as others have pointed out
If you paid with PayPal you can open a claim there
Good luck

·3 years agoThis isn't eBay (just users) but you don't need to deal with the seller, you can just open a return case
