I'm confused about this. I did read Ebay's help information but it is still not clear to me. I have a return on its way back to me. Buyer requested a refund because shoes didn't fit. I'm OK with refunding, however, apparently Ebay automatically sent her a return label. Does that come out of my funds or get charged to my credit card? Am I right in assuming that I have to pay for the return? I didn't see any information regarding this in the messages that I got from Ebay regarding this return. Appreciate any info anyone can give me, thanks!

OP4 months agoOk, thanks for the info. I forgot that I have that buyer pays return shipping in my listings. I put that in there mainly for those "change of mind" type returns. I feel sort of like I should spring for the return shipping since it's due to size, but it's so expensive on lower priced items and when I relist and sell again (hopefully), I'd have to tack that onto the price. I haven't been on Ebay that long (I have been selling elsewhere for many years) so I don't know how people feel about returns due to not fitting. Any wise advice? I know it's an indivdual seller's decision but curious what others do in these cases.

·4 months agoI'd leave it as is for shoes.
Pants that have 'inches' I would leave as is as well.
Pants that have a 'size only' as well as shirts/jackets etc. that are only marked as SM, MD etc. you should put measurements on each listing, as those sized can vary per manufacture, used (washed/shrunk etc.).

·4 months ago@castleberrylane You need to read your own listing (right side, under the blue 'Buy It Now' button:
It says:
30 days returns. Buyer pays for return shipping. If you use an eBay shipping label, it will be deducted from your refund amount
So, the buyer will have that shipping amount 'deducted' from their refund, so you will NOT be charged. As stated, you can also 'deduct' the original shipping amount that was charged, there will be a box for you to check to do that.

·4 months agoFor the Return Label eBay will charge your account.
But depending on how your return policy reads you may be able to deduct the shipping from the refund.
If your policy allowed returns for any reason and it stated buyer pays return shipping then you may be able to deduct the shipping from the refund.
