Charged full % of sale even though the product was returned
I sold a vintage Benge trumpet on ebay May 1st. The buyer said the valves were sticking and he wanted to return the trumpet for refund. I allowed the full return through ebay. I even covered the shipping return. Ebay charged me (pulling funds out of my checking account) $431.98 even though the full refund was applied. I have sent in 3 appeals and each one has been rejected. How can ebay charge you the sales % fee when the product actually did not sell. I will be taking ebay to small claims court to get my money back.

·3 years agoI you actually issued the refund yourself, your fees get refunded.
If eBay stepped in and issued the refund in your behalf, eBay keeps the fees.

·3 years agoIf eBay charged you for the return, that means you (or the buyer) had eBay step in. Had you refunded on your own, once the item was received back, you would have had the fees refunded.

·3 years agoDid Ebay get involved in the return, if they did, they don't refund their fee's.
