Changing label mailing addressed
A customer is returning an item. I changed my return address in my settings but the label supplied to the person returning the item has my old address any suggestions?

·1 year agoBuy a label on pirateship.com and send it to the buyer. Ask them to not use the label through eBay since it has the wrong address.
If it's too late because the buyer already shipped, then you're kind of stuck unless you can work something out like:
Work with the current resident of the address entered at checkout so you can retrieve the package from them, or contact the local PO and ask them to hold the package for pickup.
You may be able to file a change of address and mail forwarding request with USPS which will take a minimum of 3 biz days, or up to 2 weeks to go into effect. https://www.usps.com/manage/forward.htm
If package is returned to sender (buyer) you can ask them if they're willing to reship with a new prepaid label provided by you. If they say no you'll still have to refund them when tracking shows there was a delivery attempt.
