Cancelling a Authenticity Guarantee Item after it's been shipped
What power do I have as a buyer if a seller refuses to communicate with me about cancelling an order that is on it's way to an eBay authenticity center?
I purchase an item from Atlanta, GA Saturday 12/16/2023 https://www.ebay.com/itm/196130953134 that showed the shipping delivery estimate to Jamestown, NY prior to Christmas. I did not realize that the item would then be sent off to an eBay authenticator to be verified and after purchasing the deliver by date changed to the 1-6-2024. Well after Christmas.
I tried to cancel the item immediately(within minutes) after purchase, but the seller uploaded the tracking number(788134914076) to block all communication, and since this transaction is now in the tentacles of the authenticity program I have no recourse to stop or cancel the order. The seller refuses to communicate and dropped off the package last night at a Walgreen's store. It is now in route to the eBay authenticity center. How can I stop this entire madness? This is complete deception on the part of the seller and I feel like eBay is ignoring buyers in this type of transaction.

·2 years agoThe authenticity program is a double edged sword. It takes over complete control. The seller did not receive your message. Unless it fails inspection you bought it.

·2 years agoOnce an authenticity item has been purchased eBay doesn’t allow for communication between buyer and seller through normal contact. The seller didn’t do anything wrong, it’s how the authentication works.
