Cancel Return Request (as buyer)
Hello,
I created a return request that I need to cancel. I have found other posts that explain how to do this but they seem to be outdated as their instructions no longer work.
I need to cancel a return request, as of right now they offered some money back but I declined it. I am not seeing an option anywhere to cancel the request.

·2 years agoIf I were you I would insist on a refund and then if you still want the item you can purchase it again.
The seller may plan on sending you a new item but if they don't send it or if there is a problem with it, you may be too late to file a claim.
The fact that the seller is telling you to close the return suggests that they are not being honest as that should never be done unless you you have been refunded or have the new item.

OP2 years agoThere is no way to cancel it now? (As the buyer?) they are sending me a replacement item and said the return request must be closed to do so?

·2 years agoNo that’s not how it works your seller is either inexperienced or lying to you, leave the return open until you actually receive a return label or the replacement.
If you don’t get a refund or a return label or replacement from the seller you can go back into the return and ask eBay to step in for a refund.

·2 years agoNo, they want you to close it so they don't have to send anything.
If you close the case, you won't hear anymore from the seller.
When you receive the replacement and are happy with it, then you close the case.

^^^ This is crazy talk. Don't let your seller railroad you. Let the Return remain open, escalate it to eBay when you can.
