Buyer wants to return an item
Buyer says item is damaged and missing parts. However the pictures the buyer provided show no damage and show no missing parts. The pictures he submitted match the pictures in my post where there's no damage and no missing parts.
I do not accept returns so what am I supposed to do or what should I be doing because the product is exact how it was when he bought it when I shipped it it's the same thing there is no damage to it and there's no missing parts you can tell by the pictures from the original post and the pictures that he submitted.

·1 year agoNo returns does not mean no refund.
Please read the MBG. It is for buyers, but all sellers should know what they are up against.
If you do not either refund or send a return label and once you receive anything refund, eBay will refund the buyer.
You will also get a defect on your account and pay the FVFs if eBay gets involved.
There are little to no seller protections especially against Not As Described claims.
The buyer is always right.

·1 year agoFeel free to keep up that "I do not accept returns" policy, but be advised that it does not fly with eBay. If/when a buyer opens an item not as described case, you will be sending a prepaid return label and refunding upon receipt. You need to get better acquainted with eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers.
Also, what if I, as a seller, ship you an item that's broken when you receive it? Should I just say, "No Returns" and you will have paid for something that you can't use?

Your refund is on its way!
Hi Nono,
Your case for this item has been resolved.
We're sorry you had a problem with your purchase. Unfortunately, it looks like the seller didn't respond to this case.
Here's a summary of your refund. You should receive it in 3-5 business days.

"Buyer says item is damaged and missing parts"
^^^That statements means that the buyer opened a "not as described" claim and you have 2 options:
1. Issue a full refund and let him keep the item
2. Accept the return, pay for the return shipping label and issue a full refund upon receipt of the return.
There may be a problem with the item that you missed or the buyer may be lying in order to return an item he no longer wants. Either way, a NAD claim requires a refund.

OP1 year agoI don't see where the seller (myself) is protected in this situation at all. I choose to not accept returns for this very reason. Not only do you miss out on the other potential buyers at the time, you also lose the exposure time of the item listed. Not to mention having a return on your profile. I can't speak for anyone else but as a buyer myself, seeing to many returns on a sellers profile is not a good thing. Now the buyer submitted two pictures of the item stating it is damaged and it's missing parts. Also saying NAD. All three of those reasons are false and untrue. It is clearly shown when comparing the original post to his return request. There has to be something to stop buyers from doing this. Why even give the option to not accept returns if you are going to be made to accept it anyways, with the chance of even having to pay additionally to do it.

·1 year agoTake a deep breath and a step back. Before you list another item, you need to go read through the very helpful information eBay provides on how selling works and what your obligations are as a seller. Right now you are learning a very hard truth: There really is not a good reason to not accept returns. The very limited exception (and it isn't foolproof) to this is if you are selling something for parts/not working and make it clear in the listing the item does not work/function/damage...well, you get the idea. Otherwise, if you are selling a new or used/pre-owned item, you are better served to accept returns because that should lead to selling more items, which allows you to more easily absorb the costs of returns you get. My return rate is about 1.8%. Of that 1.8%, about 60% of the opened returns are never sent back and I never have to refund them. I even offer free returns on nearly everything. It really isn't bad. But no doubt about it, returns cost money and they can sting when they do happen. I'm not sure what makes you think you can see how many returns a seller has, but nobody can see that but the seller as far as I know.
Do not message your buyer and argue with them. Simply send the return label. Maybe they won't send it back. If so, great. If they do, then the first thing you need to do when you get it back is to make sure they sent you the item you sent them and that it is in the same condition or if you are able to see the damage the buyer mentioned. If you determine the buyer did lie, then report them before you issue the refund. When you report them, state the facts without the drama and emotion, and add a statement that the buyer abused the return policy by lying about the return reason. After you report the buyer, issue the refund. If you are able to withhold the original shipping charges, do that. Once you have done all of this, give eBay a call, let them know what happened and that you reported the buyer. They may be willing to reimburse you for the shipping label you provided the buyer. No promises they will. It never hurts to ask.
Of course, if you find damage, it is possible it got damaged during shipping and you may be able to file a claim. Before you do anything, you need to get it back first. I'll add, I would get it back and not just refund and let them keep it. If they are scamming you, they are banking on this because they see you have a new account.
On another issue, I looked at the feedback you left on this item: Lenel LNL-X4420 Advanced Intelligent Dual Reader Controller Circuit Board For future reference, there is no need to type out all the issues you had with shipping and ask eBay to not ding your account because of a late shipment. No buyers can see you shipped late unless you advertise it, which is what you did when you left that feedback.
If you made it this far, go back and read again the first couple of sentences I wrote.
