buyer returns to seller initiated by ebay
Ebay decided in my favor about an item that was not as described and provided a return label. Seller has not picked up the item since receiving notice from P.O.
In the event the item is not picked up and returned to me will Ebay refund my payment?

·5 months agoEven though the option to Ask eBay to step in and help will never appear @philmco you should watch for the option for eBay to step in and help to appear in the case.
The seller cannot prevent a refund by evading the delivery of your return. Instead
-- when the timeout for your return to be delivered has expired
-- or when the item is delivered back to you
whichever happens first, eBay will force your refund from the seller.

·5 months agoYes you will. You were required to send it back. However, the seller is not required to accept it. Silly on their part as they paid for the return shipping and will be refunding with or without getting it back.
Decades ago a business could get out of refunding by refusing a returned package. That ended long ago.

·5 months agoYes, that will count as a delivery attempt and you should be refunded. Watch for the option for eBay to step in and help to appear in the case, and don't wait until the returned item is potentially returned to you as that may be too late.
