Buyer returning items not in original shipment, claiming damaged items sent
What is my recourse? eBay automatically refunded his full purchase plus shipping even before I had an opportunity to examine package. We're not talking a $10 item.... $200 + . I now have a returned item that is far less value to resell. Buyer has vintage figures and returned what he didn't want plus a full refund because of eBay's auto policy.

·3 years ago@deerfoot2 in addition to the already advice rec'd, you can set up your listings so that you can deduct up to 50% of the selling price if u don't receive the same item back in the same condition as sent.
As an aside: r u really charging $499 for an oshkosh sweater for 18 mos olds?

·3 years agoYour recourse is to retake the course,
for you to resolve to resolve the return request,
before eBay has to step in and resolve the return for you,
forcing a refund right after tracking shows the return was delivered,
and you lose all fees plus earn a "Case closed without seller resolution" defect.
Next time dear @deerfoot2 if there is a next time --
1. Accept the return
2. Issue the buyer a return shipping label
3. Refund within 2 business days after you get it back.

·3 years agoYou need to learn this about eBay.
If the buyer has opened a not as described case you are required to refund within 2 days after tracking shows delivered. eBay will step in and refund if you don't. It doesn't matter if they return the wrong item or an empty package or kept some of the items. eBay will say suck it up bad buyers happen.
