Buyer returning item and insist on return label
I am urgently in need to help.
I am located in Singapore and buyer from New York bought a designer bag (authentic) from me but claims it is a mirror-image according to a friend. He started a return and insisted on a return label but I could not find any such feature on my dashboard pertaining to this item. The status just says "Return started. Waiting for buyer to ship item." Do I need to find a way to send a shipping label? Ask him to ship and I reimburse him via Paypal for the shipping cost? I may end up paying GST for the returned item too. I am so worried I am being scammed. I already lost money for the free ship of this item to him.
Thank you in advance.

OP4 years agoJust want to add that eBay did not instruct me to send shipping label. Current status is: Return started. Waiting for buyer to ship item.
The item in question is https://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/325031156741.
I also just received a confirmation from authenticator that bag is authentic.

·4 years agoIf it went through authentication you are protected. They have to pay for the return because they can't claim it doesn't match or it's not authentic. So this a buyer's remorse return.
That is why eBay said the status is waiting on the buyer. They're waiting on the buyer to return it. The ball is in his court.

OP3 years agoAfter a couple of days and buyer insisted on a return label eventhough I offered to refund for shipping back via Paypal, eBay sided with buyer and refunded. Lost money and bag!

·3 years agoYup, and this is the huge problem with ALL off shore sellers - many buyers are wary for some reason and will not give out any financial details, they seem to think they can be scammed or something, and what can the seller do if the buyer does not provide either PP, Venmo or bank details?? Well they LOSE the SALE and the item they could have resold.
Wonder if eBay is ever going to look at how this could be better handled, or at least see the correspondence between buyer and seller and realise the buyer was not facilitating the seller's ability to pay for return...

·3 years agoThis is incorrect. I had a rather expensive item. i bought from Japan $800. The item was not as described.
The seller provided a DHL label to send it back.
So yes sellers can provide a return label international.

·3 years agoThey won't win a NAD case if it went through ebay authentication. It is a remorse return and up to the buyer to return it on their own...up until they open a chargeback which they probably will if it was any serious amount of money.
