Buyer Remorse Return & Original Shipping Cost
I recently sold a baseball cap and my policy is that no returns are accepted. The buyer stated they didn't realize it was a "lopro" hat and wants to return it. I am willing to accept the return, but I want to know if I do accept the return, am I responsible for refunding the original shipping cost when I issue the refund? They put the reason as "ordered by mistake", so I have options as far as the return goes.
Out of all my completed sales, I don't think I've ever had this come up, so I just want to be sure I'm not going to be out any money due to their buyer's remorse. Thanks for the help.

·3 years agoOn a remorse return, the buyer has to pay for the shipping back when your account is set up with a "no returns" policy. They can buy a ebay label after the return has been approved by you, do not issue a refund until you get the item back and have confirmed its the same item in the same condition you sent it in.

Who pays for return shipping?
The seller pays for return shipping if they offer a free returns policy or if the item was damaged, faulty, or doesn't match the listing description.
You pay for return shipping if you're returning the item because you changed your mind, and the seller's return policy states that buyers are responsible for return shipping.
