Buyer Pays for return>Seller Pays for return
A seller is having a presale on a very limited item (1-3 items available with no restocks), but in the listing, it says " Buyer pays for return." I have noticed in other listings that once the item is "in stock" the listing changes to "Seller pays for return." I am conflicted. Should I wait or get it now? Any opinions?

·2 years agoI have absolutely no opinion on the matter of it being pre-sale. It appears lakefor94 didn't want to give any advice in terms of buying pre-sale or not, I understand that.
I think if you are careful and know your MBG rights then there are no issues but you need to know how to protect yourself, I will abstain from explaining that right now.
You seem to actually be asking if you should buy pre-sale because buyer pays return shipping or should you buy when it's in stock when seller pays return shipping...
Here is MY personal rule of thumb... What are the odds that I will actually return this?
It helps that I know my MBG rights, so I know it doesn't matter what the return policy is if it arrives not as described or damaged or anything then I know it's not on me. But if it's something I'm questioning if I will like it or not or if it will work for me or not, that's when I care about the return policy.
If you're willing to buy PreSale and buy this far ahead, something tells me no way in heck you're returning it... so how badly do you want it and how worried are you actually about having to return it?
Also, if you're in the US and the seller is in the US, return shipping is NOT that much for a small item. This SEEMS like a small item? I know my friend has a bunch of anime figures/statues, I bought her one for her birthday a couple months ago, so I can't imagine return shipping is that bad IF you had to return it.
If it's a matter of paying hypothetical return shipping in a hypothetical situation where you may want to return it, then who cares just buy it. But that is not me advising you to buy presale, that's just me saying don't worry about return shipping if it's something you're unlike to return.

·2 years agoI think you are looking at who pays return shipping in case the item needs to be returned after delivery to the buyer.
If you are not an experienced buyer, be real careful with these presale item listings.
Would you care to post the eBay item number and folks from the boards here would take a look for you and see what they might can surmise. Up to you.

·2 years agoI found it with the UPC. There should be others along that are familiar with these types of products.
The seller looked OK to me at a quick glance but others might dig more.
