Buyer not responding to partial offer.

Buyer purchased 4 items. 1 of the items was the wrong item. Buyer started a refund for all 4 items but wants to return only 1 ( from conversation we had). eBay is not giving me an option to take just 1 item since he started a return for all 4. this is my fault so I offered to refund for the 1 wrong item and he can keep it for free but as of 2 weeks no response. btw he is an eBay seller as well.

One way to handle this @suptostore is to put the ball in the buyer's court.

Accept the return for all 4 items, and issue the return label. The buyer will either

1. return all 4 items, and you'll issue the full refund.

2. return 1 item, you'd report the buyer.

3. no return, you refund the 1.

If you do nothing, either the buyer asks or eBay will invite itself to step in to issue a full refund with no return needed.

If you never sent a return shipping label and just offered a partial refund, the buyer can now go into the return and refuse the partial refund and turn around immeadiately and ask eBay to step in and refund and you lose the items and the money.

Hopefully you have an honest person on the other end of this transaction. Good luck.
