Buyer Misused a Return stating Item wasn't as Described
I have 3 things actually to ask about issues w/ buyers returns
1. A buyer had purchased a set of 4 Nightmare before Christmas watches -- vintage -- I had sent her 2 green ones and 2 red ones. When she received it, she sent me pictures of the items stating it wasn't as described but her pictures were the same as my listing photos. What I realized happened is, she didn't look at the pictures in my listing and assumed I was selling the whole set of watches but instead she received 2 each of the same watches. Anyways, she asked for a return stating items don't match photos or description which is forcing me to pay for return shipping and her original shipping. Yesterday I received the items back and asked her to contact ebay to tell them it was her mistake for choosing the wrong option. Since she hasn't messaged me back, I'm going to assume she isn't going to call ebay as I know she doesn't want to pay for shipping. I'm curious, will I still be forced to pay for her shipping since she lied about the return? I am going to be calling ebay shortly to discuss this issue w/ them.
2. A buyer had purchased a vintage swatch watch and in the listing I described and showed the watch saying that the band was damaged and showing 3 cracks in band. I also stated in the description that the band was damaged and the watch was untested and would need a new battery. When the buyer received the watch, they complained that the band was damaged and asked me to send them $10 which would help them replace the band and battery. When I told them that the watch was described accurately and it was shown in the pictures that the watch band had those cracks, the buyer became angry. I offered that he could return the watch but he said it would cost more then the watch was worth (the watch itself was $14.99). After a lot of going back and forth, then the buyer stated that when he received the watch, that the band had fallen off and was in pieces which I find hard to believe since he didn't state that when he first messaged me about the 3 cracks in the band. The buyer left me negative feedback. Is there a way I can get that removed since the buyer clearly didn't look at all the pictures or read the description in the listing on the condition of the watch?
3. There is an item that a buyer is returning -- they used a correct reason for a return stating they ordered it by mistake. it was a water globe. I had gotten a message yesterday that stated the item has been delivered and to refund the buyer by today. I had checked the tracking number and it shows that the item is currently in PA and is still on it's way to me. I didn't see anywhere on there that I could state that the item hasn't been delivered yet. But on the listing itself, it just shows item delivered, but, tracking clearly shows it hasn't been delivered. Will ebay automatically refund the buyer without checking the tracking number first or, how will this pan out? I want to be able to check the item to see if it's exactly how I sent it to the buyer before refunding him.

·4 months agoYes, you'll be paying return shipping.
You don't want to get Ebay involved until the items are returned and buyer refunded.

Do not call Ebay. They will just tell you to refund the buyer in full. Just refund the buyer in full and relist the item. Yes the buyer mistakenly made a purchase with an assumption however you as a seller risk this. Majority of sales don't go this way so you will make it up.
2. The buyer left me negative feedback. Is there a way I can get that removed since the buyer clearly didn't look at all the pictures or read the description in the listing on the condition of the watch?
The buyer should've filed an item not described case and return the item for a full refund. They decided to leave feedback. Unfortunately because it's a description issue the feedback will not be removed however you can appeal it through the system and see if it does. No guarantees though.

Ebay is run by a system so yes they will if the system is requesting you to refund buyer now. It says you are given so many days to refund them. Just make sure that the system is truly asking you to refund the buyer now. Cause that seems kind of odd.

I would not pester the customer about it. Your photos and description weren't incorrect, but it was probably confusing that you listed it as a "Set", which lead to the return. I would probably not use that word if you relist it, since it's not the complete set.
2. Nothing in that feedback violates policy, and in fact you don't have any way to know that it didn't fall apart more during shipping. I don't see anything that would lead me to believe eBay would remove the feedback, but you do have one point in your favor. Buyers are not allowed to ask for or demand partial refunds without returning the item (though that is confusing to many buyers because sellers are able to offer it), so you could try reporting them for that.
3. That happens sometimes, and eBay will likely force the refund, yes. I would suggest refunding them and then if there is any type of problem with the returned item, write it off or see if you have any options then. If eBay forces the refund, you lose your Final Value Fee credit, and you get a defect for not resolving it yourself.
