Buyer did not use ebay label to ship returns back to me, so no tracking info. How do I refund?
Buyer sends 4 returns back to me in a box without the ebay label on the outside. She put the label in the inside of the box and wrote my address on the outside. She even paid for the return when I have free returns. How do I handle this?

OP2 years agoSo is it okay to just refund her her money since I have recieved all the items back. I just wanted to make sure the returns got closed, as they still say "Waiting for buyer to ship item" since she didn't use ebay label so they didn't get tracked. I know I am making this all confusing.

Yes, you can still refund the buyer. However, I'm not sure if you want to consider retaining the original shipping costs (if a remorse return) since you do charge shipping. That is up to you I suppose.
In any case, you are clear to proceed with refund the same way you would had the item scanned as delivered. A full refund ought to close the case outright.

·2 years agoIf there is no open case, you could go to your sold orders and click "Send Refund" or whatever the appropriate button is. It's on the drop dowm menu
ETA: the questions of remorse return & original shipping cost I believe remain open/unanswered. This is all a bit screwy lol

OP2 years agoNo buyer didn't open a return case. They were just returning their items back to me and took it to the post office and purchased a label there instead of using ebays label and I even have free returns, not sure why they did that.

OP2 years agoThis was 4 individual opened items sent back together in a box because of fit and yes I guess there is a refund buyer on the returns page, but if I refund her, will this close the returns if it doesn't actually show that the items came back to me?

·2 years agoQuestions: Was this 4 returns opened sent back together in one box, or 4 items from one listing, and was it remorse (since you charge shipping) or defective, etc.
And while you cannot enter the tracking number for the buyer -- they have to enter it themselves, don't you have a "refund buyer now" (whether or not the item is returned) link on the Returns page, to refund and close the return?

·2 years ago@ma-647837 As @lakefor94 mentioned Refund via the Return claim flow closes out the return. This Seller had 4 separate returns if I understand what they shared so it might be 4 separate return - refund closures. The Buyer putting the label IN the return box puts them at risk because while the claim has a return tracking number it was never scanned by the carrier ... unless they printed two which I doubt happened. I would check the return claims to see what tracking shows just out of curiosity.
