Buyer bad mouthing a sale
I am new to EBay. I posted many items to sell. Recently there was a PlayStation game I posted. I am not sure but the bid somehow ended on a $1.25. No profit at all we paid brand new for that game over $40. Never used it still in the wrapper. Then the buyer had the nerve to text me asking when will I ship. eBay gives a ship by date. Not that I should have to give details but things happen emergencies happen. So, now this person has stated I maybe a scammer. Because I refunded there $5.00 for shipping. The nerve. eBay should not allow this get both sides of the story first. Oh wait they can monitor everything

·2 years agoMaybe you were in a big hurry when you listed it because you actually listed it at 99 cents.
PS: When you realized what had happened, did you really tell the buyer you'd ship in six days, then cancel and refund?

You chose to list that game in a no-reserve auction. You're obligated to sell at the $1.25 winning bid price.
If you don't want to risk selling at a low bid, you need to either start the bidding (auction) at the lowest you're willing to accept if there's just one bid, or you need to sell it at a fixed price.

·2 years agoAs I stated I’m new to EBay very first time. Lesson learned but the posting that I am a scammer was not fair but it’s cool life goes on. Thank you for your response enjoy your weekend

·2 years agoLook at it from the buyer's point of view.
They found your item, liked your item, bid on it and won - fair and square. They thought they got a great deal.
Then you refused to sell it to them. In their eyes, you're a scammer since they consider it scammy to list an item and not follow through on the sale after the item has been paid for.
What was the reason you chose when you canceled? I hope you didn't say "buyer requested." If you were honest, you'd have used OOS (out of stock) as the reason.
