Buyer agreed to no refund, issues refund anyway.
Anyone have issues with this? Buyer says they "didnt have use for their purchase" and we agreed i couldn't afford refund. Later issues refund with technical issue that, frankly, i didn't know my product had.
Not sure what to do since they feel like they are saying one thing to me, then saying something else to ebay.

·1 year agoAll you can do is pay for them to return it and give a refund when received.
Your ability to afford a refund is your problem not the buyers

·1 year agoSince they filed a case through eBay you will now be refunding them and paying for the return if the case they opened was for item not as described.

OP1 year agoBut now the problem is that when they returned it, the item is working and is working as described. in other words, they lied to ebay. What can I do about this? I already filed a complaint that buyer has abused refund process.

Ok the complaint is good but now you have to refund them.
You have the item back, resell it.
There is no choice you MUST refund or eBay will do it for you, with your money and you'll get a defect on your selling account.

·1 year agoA buyer cannot issue a refund (issue means "give").

·1 year agoI'm not understanding @keefeboy .
Did the buyer file for a return? If so, what was the reason for the return? Did you accept the return?
If a buyer returns something, whether you can afford the refund is irrelevant.

OP1 year agoThe buyer somehow tricked ebay into stating that the product that I sold him has a defect (Microphone not working). I accepted the refund because he gave video evidence that the microphone does not work. He shipped it back to me and I checked that it is working.
I have never been in the situation of a buyer getting ebay on their side to refund a product. What can I do at this point?

Ebay will always take the buyers side when they file an INAD.
