·5 months agoIs that the order #? Or the item #? Item numbers have 12 digits.
If you've already involved your funding source, you have no way to get help from eBay.
All you would have needed to do is to open an item not as described case with eBay.
If you've not read the Money Back Guarantee, now would be a good time, although you won't be able to use it for this issue since you already contacted your bank.

·5 months agoDid you go to the "item" under your purchase history, if so you don't need the item number? Or did you buy this item as a guest?

OP5 months agoI attempted to try the return button and when I hit it and entered the order number it replied with no record of that order. I tried calling ebay and got AI responding and I went into a loop with no answer to my problem of not being able to get the return information. I have notified the bank to not pay the charge and advised them of my problem and inability to contact ebay, or the seller or the shipper which are all different companies.

·5 months agoHi @dengeo135
As soon as eBay notices that you’ve gone to your bank for help, it will no longer deal with you … so you will need to complete the return/ refund process with your bank. Good luck!

·5 months agoNow that you've filed a chargeback, eBay can no longer help you. It is in your bank's hands now.
Next time learn about eBay's Money Back Guarantee so you know the correct way to do things.
FYI...there is no valid number for you to call eBay, you have to have eBay call you.

Go to your eBay Purchase History and open a return case.
Find the item in your Purchase History and press the big, blue 'Return this item' button. Select "Item Arrived Damaged" as the reason for the return.
If it requires you to upload a photo to the return case you will need to do that.
Seller will be required to provide a prepaid shipping label IF they want the item back before refunding. Send the item back with the prepaid return label.
When the return tracking shows delivered back to the seller, the seller will have 2 days to inspect and refund your purchase. If that does not happen, on day 3 there will be an "Ask eBay to Step In", option for you to click on. EBay will refund your money.
If seller does not send a return label within 3 days and the "Ask eBay To Step In" option is not available, you will need to contact ebay and explain that the seller has not provided a return label.
Under NO circumstances do you close the return before getting your refund, REGARDLESS of what the seller might tell you.
Come back here with any or all questions you might have throughout this process.
