Authenticity Guarantee: Multiple authenticators confirmed “fake†— eBay support refused to help
I bought a pair of sneakers through eBay’s Authenticity Guarantee. After receiving them, I submitted the shoes to several third-party authentication platforms, and all of them returned results indicating the shoes are fake/not authentic. To be clear, the pair I received appears to be the exact same pair shown in the listing photos (same wear marks/details), so this is not a “wrong item sent†issue — it’s about authenticity. I contacted eBay customer support and requested meaningful help under the Authenticity Guarantee process (proper review + resolution). However, support refused to provide any substantive assistance, gave generic responses, and did not offer a clear path to verify or resolve the issue. Has anyone dealt with this? What’s the best way to escalate when Authenticity Guarantee fails and support won’t help?
You need t o explain more about the differences between what you see vs what was described. That is part of the authentication process...is the item described correctly? not just is it real or fake. An item that is described differently from the actual item sent, although real, can be denied at authentication and returned to seller.
I have informed the ebay customer service staff in this way, but they refused me directly, and I even sent a detailed comparison chart. Who can tell me what I did wrong? Is ebay customer service targeting me?
The story is that I bought a pair of sneakers through the eBay genuine guarantee channel. When I got the sneakers, I found that there were many differences between him and the buyer's description, so I tested them on the legit platform and other platforms, and the results were fake shoes.

I'm not sure which sneakers you're referring to as you have 2 recent feedbacks from sneaker sellers, one with a return policy and one without a return policy
@tinsoldierunderground said, if the item passed authentication and if the seller has a no-return policy, that item is final sale.
If the sneakers in question are (Nike Kobe) from the seller with a "30 days returns.Buyer pays for return shipping," those sneakers are returnable, although not as NAD (not as described). You'd be on the hook for return shipping but at least you'd get something back.
If the sneakers in question are the Air Jordan from the seller who doesn't take returns, you're out of luck unless your payment provider backs you up.
Too bad, the fake I bought is a pair of air jordan 1, the pair co-branded with fragnmentI can be sure that I was selling a pair of unquestionable fakes, but eBay refused to recheck again.

In a case where ebay's authenticity guarantee process states an item is authentic, and a seller has a no return policy, it's considered a final sale. This is true regardless of what may transpire later with an authenticator outside of ebay. It's hardly a perfect system, but that's how it is on this site. At this point, you might try contacting your payment provider, hopefully you paid with a credit card.
Yes, I contacted my credit card operator, which is obviously an unreasonable situation. I spent a lot of money but got a fake. I don't know if my money can be refunded.

·8 months agoWhat do you mean @agqu-92 why are you selling fakes?
Aside, all guarantees have an 'or' clause, e.g. Guaranteed authentic OR ...
Otherwise, it's not a real guarantee.
