Attempting to contact seller Mollydrop00
I have attempted to contact the seller via the eBay app, and initiating a return. No response. I spoke to someone at eBay today and also got no help other than to recommend that I try to reach out to the seller through this platform. The shoes I received are clearly fake and already falling apart with less than 10 wears. Unfortunately I am outside of the eBay 30 day return policy because I purchased these as a gift and did not give them until Christmas. Any assistance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated

·1 year agoThe suggestion to reach out to the seller after the Ebay MBG has expired was made because some sellers might attempt to resolve the problem. Sellers are not required to, and many sellers will not take any action.

·1 year agoI believe that wastingtime101's point was that reaching out to the community for advice might make some sense, and reaching out to the seller via eBay message might make sense, but if customer service is advising buyers to reach out to specific sellers via posting on a public community forum, that does not make much sense.

·1 year agoYes, you got it @eburtonlab - thanks for clarifying.
I revised my post above (changes in dark blue font) to make it more clear. I'm sure Kyle would have known what I meant since this problem keeps coming up. 🙂

·1 year agoWhy is this advice continuing to trend with eBay customer service reps @kyle@ebay . I keep tagging you on this because it's inappropriate for CS to tell buyer or seller they should contact the other party through a public forum. Come here for advice from others? Yes. Come to this public forum to contact the buyer/sellers they're in a transaction with? Absolutely not; that's what eBay messages are for.
I know you've been submitting these reports for coaching, but there is a bigger issue than coaching individual reps one at a time since this topic keeps coming up. Can you have this specific contact reviewed for coaching, but also see what you can do to inform all CS reps on the matter however that's handled (with a memo, relayed through supervisors, etc)?

Hey @wastingtime101 thanks for the tag. You're 100% right; it's not appropriate advice at all! I'm already ahead of you in looking into the bigger picture. 😊
We'll also continue passing along coaching for the individuals as well.

You may have some recourse through your payment method. Many credit cards offer up to six months of protection for items that are not as described.
