Appeal A Decision
Where do I enter tracking info to Appeal a decision? Ebay takes me to links with articles but nowhere to enter the tracking info. EBay refunded the buyer. The seller paid for shipping and sent the item. The buyer did not return the item or pay for the item.

OP2 years agoI am a seller.
A buyer entered a claim that they did not receive the item. I immediately responded with tracking, and eBay claimed they did not receive the tracking in time. EBAY refunded the buyer. The buyer received my item, I paid shipping, and the buyer received a full refund. When I tried to enter an appeal to the decision, the link in the chat was not active. It redirects me to an article on how to join an appeal. We are past the 30-day mark and are still looking for a solution. Am I expected to give the buyer the item for free to protect my seller account?

·2 years agoYou are given 2 days to respond to a return case. On the third day buyers can ask eBay to step in for a refund. Sounds like you were late uploading and eBay was asked to step in by the buyer who was refunded by eBay with your funds giving you a defect.
Appeals can be found by clicking Help & Contact type Appeals into the search bar.
But here it is for you. Appeal the outcome of a case as a seller
Step by step instructions are towards the bottom of the page.
Good luck.

·2 years agoIt's hard to reply to a post where you aren't sure if it's the buyer or the seller who is posting.
If you are the seller, and your buyer opened an item not received case, you, the seller just need to enter the tracking # into the case.

·2 years agoDid your buyer open a not as described case? If they did and you failed to respond to it eBay would eventually give them a full refund and allow them to keep the item because your non response would indicate you don't want the item back... or are you saying they didn't pay for the item because they were given a refund without returning it first. It's obvious they must have paid if they were issued a refund...

·2 years agoI’m a bit confused by your post so more details would be helpful.
You are the seller? Did the buyer open an item not received claim or a return request? How did you respond?
If it had been an item not received claim there would have been a place on that claim to enter the tracking number.
