Why is something like this NOT automatically filtered out (& banned)?

路3 hours agoJust received one as a DM. Hit the 3 dots upper right, but got an error message of "page not found". I'm guessing someone caught it and deleted.

OP20 hours agoI just got another, but this time I found the OBSCURE way to "Flag" (aka report) the message/user (3 tiny dots on the far right of the message), and then to block the user & hide the conversation (3 dots at the top left of the message page).

Probably because they are too busy "archiving" or "approving" (or not) when I post or reply. I don't expect this reply to be seen but it made me feel better to type it....................

eBay automatically blocks many third-party links in unsolicited eBay messages, but scammers keep exploiting services that provide new or obscure shortened links that do not match standard recognizable link formats to get around those blocks.
So users must always be wary of urgent messages from private users claiming to be from eBay with odd links or that are making time-sensitive verification demands or that are threatening account suspension.
