Why does eBay suddenly and constantly ask me to verify myself every time I log in?
As a seller, I log into to eBay several times a day, I've been a member since 1999. Lately, I often get stopped from logging in by a "verify yourself" screen where I have to choose photos that match the photo they show and prove I am not a robot! This is extremely annoying. It's never happened before, but now it happens almost daily. Is anyone else having this issue? Note: this never happens on the mobile app, only on the desktop computer.

FWIW, this has only started happening again since the last cyber attack outage.
Before that it's been a long while since I've had to face doing the stupid captchas all the time.

A possible alternative is to use a different browser for each account, and then you can stay signed in to both at the same time.

Then stop logging out several times a day.

·4 months agoIf ebay can't verify who you are using normal methods, that's why the verification screen comes up.
Turn off your ad blocker, make sure cookies aren't disabled. If you have location services disabled you may have to enable that as well.
You can also try a different web browser. That usually does the trick for me when this happens.
